1. ABOUT US
The idea of Hot Lips Sauce began with two college friends and one goal: to make a hot sauce that we would love to have with (almost) every meal or maybe just with a piece of bred (and beer!).
We both lived in Europe and Americas and were never happy with the hot sauces they served…they were either way too hot or just had no “umpf”.
So, for a very long time we tried to find a formula which would make a combination of natural Yucatan ingredients a tasty one…
These were our postulates:

With these goals in mind and a bit of divine inspiration, we came up with our newest spicy sauce - HOT LIPS! Fresh, gutsy, zesty and not really HOT…
But we call it Hot LIPS because your LIPS are going to be HOT for this sauce!
Bold and adventurous, elegant and classy, sexy and dainty!

(THIS IS JUST AN IDEA I CAN DWELL FOR PRODUCTS SECTION where we are going o talk about two different sauces!)
The new sauce is born, made in Yucatan, home of Mayan civilization. Mayan Gods and deities have a dualistic nature and qualities normally associated with day & night, life & death, health & illness, light & dark…Our sauce also has a dualistic nature, it comes in red and green!
It has been created for the most demanding palate. This sauce will not delete the flavor of your entrée. It will accentuate the taste with our blend of natural produce and spices.
We have toned down the hotness, but kept its intrinsic flavor that only a Habanero grown in Yucatan peninsula has. Habanero Ambrosia – Food of the Gods!
Our sauce does not contain any artificial coloring or vinegar and it is gluten free.
It has a year shelf-life, but only masochists will keep it open for that long!
Our sauce will take you to the tropical journey, sensing the sun, ocean, nature and anything that you will be hearing coming from those two peppers whose love dance finished in the shape of the lips…

Original Recipe Yield 12 servings
Ingredients
4 slices hickory-smoked bacon
340 g ground beef
455 g bulk pork sausage
340 g cubed beef stew meat
250 g chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 stalk celery, chopped
0.5 habanero pepper, seeded and minced, or to taste
0.5 large green bell pepper, chopped
0.5 large red bell pepper, chopped
1 (28 ounce) can tomato sauce
3 g ground cumin
280 g cubed cooked chicken
3 (14.5 ounce) cans fire-roasted diced tomatoes, with juice
1 (15 ounce) can cannellini beans, rinsed and drained
1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
1 (15 ounce) can butter beans, rinsed and drained
salt and pepper to taste
170 g sour cream (optional)
Directions
Place the bacon in a large pot, and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain the bacon slices on a paper towel-lined plate. In the same pot, stir in the ground beef, sausage, and beef stew meat. Cook and stir until the ground meat is crumbly, evenly browned, and no longer pink. Drain and set meat aside in a bowl. Discard any excess grease.
Reduce heat to medium, then stir the onion, garlic, celery, habanero pepper, green bell pepper, and red bell pepper into the same large pot; cook and stir until the onion has softened and turned translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in the tomato sauce and cumin, then add the beef and sausage mixture, bacon, and chicken. Stir in the diced tomatoes, cannellini beans, pinto beans, and butter beans. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 2 hours. Serve with a dollop of sour cream.
